Eleanor Murray Fallon Middle School is no longer accepting new students as of April 12, 2017. All students who enroll in school after April 12 will be diverted to Wells Middle School. These guidelines will be in effect for the balance of the 2016-2017 school year as well as the 2017-2018 school year. The new school currently under construction in Jordan Ranch is expected to alleviate the need for diversion to Wells Middle School by the 2018-2019 school year. It is being built as a K-8th grade school.

Here are the protocols for the diversion:

  1. All new 6th and 7th grade students who enroll in Dublin Unified School District on April 12 or later and are in the Fallon Middle School boundary will be diverted to Wells Middle School
  2. All new 5th grade students currently enrolled in one of the Fallon feeder schools (Dougherty, Green, Kolb and Amador elementary schools) who enrolled on April 12 or later will be diverted to Wells Middle School
  3. All 5th grade students who were enrolled in the feeder schools prior to April 12 will be attending Fallon Middle School
  4. No current Fallon Middle School students will be diverted
  5. New 8th grade students enrolled in Dublin Unified School District within the Fallon boundary will not be diverted. The is still space available in the 8th grade classes at Fallon.

How will this change effect the Dublin Ranch real market is a good question. Wells Middle School is rated 9 by greatschools.net. It is a good school and has very good reviews from parents. One of the main issues for potential buyers will be transportation to Wells. The school district has contracted with Wheels bus services to provide transportation for the students to and from Wells Middle as well as Dublin High School. Mia and I will keep you informed as this all plays out.
